An adaptive system for teaching math to students from Pre-K through to 2nd grades.
Much of my time at Age of Learning was spent on this product; My Math Academy focused on identifying weaknesses in students’ mathematical intuitions and serving them games to help those students shore up whatever understanding they were missing. When I came to AofL, they were retooling the product from consumer-focused to a schools-focused product, and I was tasked with leading the bulk of the development on the transition. This involved some very deep-level work on the dynamics underpinning the product, but also a tremendous amount of prototyping, art direction, feature review, and so on. I consistently led development on new initiatives in this space, being “first through the breach” on several successive stages of the project’s development. I had the pleasure of seeing many of my designs through the entire production process from ideation to finished product, and I can’t wait for MMA to release to schools so I can see my work deployed in front of students.
